31 Aug YOUR INNER ACTOR / INNER DIRECTOR / INNER PRODUCER RELATIONSHIP
Unlike the ACTOR, the role of a film DIRECTOR is to control the CREATIVE unfolding of a movie through the management of a broad variety of its elements.
These elements include reading and editing the script, understanding and interpreting the STORY’S unfolding direction and style, motivating and guiding the ACTORS, and overseeing the development, authoring and elevation of the film’s STORY toward it’s best possible final form. Two additional roles of the DIRECTOR include managing the conflict on the set, and making sure that the timing and adherence to the scheduling is maintained.
Whereas the DIRECTOR makes the creative decisions during the production of a film, the PRODUCER typically manages the logistics and business operations of a film production. In essence, the role of the DIRECTOR is the “translation” of the creation dimensions into visibility and profit potential.
We can make use of the traditional roles of ACTOR, DIRECTOR and PRODUCER in ways, that help us understand the nature of our own individual personality parts… our INNER ACTORS, INNER DIRECTOR and INNER PRODUCER.
